Our third annual EMEA Expert Tour is off and running here in beautiful and sunny Marbella, Spain. This is the largest gathering of NextWave partner sales engineers and technicians across the EMEA region and they’ve come to the Don Carlos Hotel to receive the latest information and available tools to maintain their knowledge and expertise about Palo Alto Networks products and solutions.
The event started off yesterday with 70 NextWave partners receiving their CNSE 5.1 certification. During the afternoon Alain Thibaud, Director of Systems Engineering, led our general session, which also featured Ron Myers, VP Worldwide Channels along with Luc Vervoort, Director of Channels for EMEA. Karl Driesen, VP Worldwide Cybersecurity Sales and Eric van Sommeren, Director of Advanced Technologies for EMEA spoke about Palo Alto Networks endpoint security strategy. Nick Campagna, Director, Product Management, and Brett Eldridge, VP Global Customer Engineering & Support were also on stage to share roadmap overviews and their insights with the eager audience. Our premier event sponsor Aruba Networks closed out the general session. We celebrated the evening in the gardens with tapas and drinks followed by a lavish poolside BBQ.
Today the learning continued when Palo Alto Networks partners were sorted into multiple breakout session groups and received deep-dive technical training on a variety of focus areas, including mobile security, threat prevention, our PAN-OS 6.0 release and our high-performance PA-7050 platform.
