Forrester has named Palo Alto Networks a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Cloud Workload Security, Q1 2024. To us, this recognition acknowledges not only our cloud workload security excellence but also our understanding of customer needs in the evolving threat landscape.
This recognition comes months after a November 2023 commissioned Total Economic Impact™ study conducted by Forrester Consulting on behalf of Palo Alto Networks. The study found that a composite organization representative of our interviewed customers achieved 264% ROI over 3 years from their investment in Prisma ® Cloud.
The Forrester Wave™ is a rigorous, score-based analysis across vendors and solutions. In their Cloud Workload Security, Q1 2024 report, using 21 predefined criteria, Forrester evaluated 13 vendors they considered top cloud workload security (CWS) platforms.
Not to be confused with cloud workload protection, CWS encompasses a range of critical controls, including cloud security posture management (CSPM), cloud infrastructure entitlement management (CIEM), cloud workload protection, infrastructure as code (IaC) security, container runtime protection, and detection and response. Consolidating these into a single, integrated solution is essential to effectively securing complex cloud environments.
The report states the following when describing Prisma Cloud, “Container runtime protection, reporting and auditing, and detection and response are ahead.”
In addition to scoring vendors’ current offerings, Forrester evaluates vendors based on their strategy using criteria such as vision, innovation and roadmap.
